Becky Ford, PhD,
is the Research Director for the HHCJ Lab. Becky is a social scientist who works across the various projects in the lab, with a particular focus on using rigorous methodology to bring evidence to clinical practice and policy. She has worked on a range of projects, including clinical trials (Jail-Based Use of Smoking Cessation Treatment (JUST)), operational support (Hennepin Healthcare COVID-19 Impact and Basic Needs Survey), and secondary data analyses (see article). Prior to her work at HHCJ, Becky served in the Peace Corps in Mauritania and Ukraine. She has a BA from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MA and PhD from University of California Santa Barbara.
